Initiative Développement, Congo-Brazzaville
In the Louingui District of Congo-Brazzaville, the Puma Energy Foundation supports the work of French NGO Initiative Développement (ID), which aims to improve people’s living conditions and identify areas of development in the economic sectors of the region, together with the local communities and government.
ID supports peasant organisations (representing +/- 500 farmers and producers) with their small business structures, to identify and provide services that they can sell and encourage them to develop activities for the benefit of their members and local communities.
Where they work
At the end of 2013, two women’s associations had been created and rural roads had been restored by the local population in partnership with local authorities, to facilitate transport and sales of goods from one location to the other.Visit Website
